CMS Annual Review 2008

The design of the 2008 annual review for CMS Cameron McKenna began with the theme of movement and dance. New Managing Partner Duncan Weston, has a vision for going forward which draws inspiration from ballet (discipline, trust, support) and so we were interested in exploring a creative graphic approach that could work in harmony with these ideas. The review encompasses the firms financial year as well as articles from all the sector groups with details of recent work and events so it would be a very unique solution.

Rather than have a literal interpretation with images of dancers throughout the review we developed a graphic style with interweaving strokes that ran throughout the publication. The designs worked with the layout and imagery of the individual pages to create a unifying theme that brings consistency across all the pages. To create a pace for the review we also mixed pages of full bleed images with pages of cropped images, linking them together with the interwoven strokes, and extending the full corporate colour palette throughout.
