SHO have recently completed the design of the marketing and advertising campaign for the upcoming Professional Liability seminar from Wilberforce Chambers.

Building on the strong branding and conceptual themes of previous years the ‘Punch’ design uses simple imagery, a clean graphic execution and punchy copy (excuse the pun) to create a distinctive and clean campaign.

To compliment the new characteristics campaign for Wilberforce Chambers, SHO have just designed a new press advert focussing on their innovative approach and solutions.

Instead of following the traditional route of their main competitors and simply listing the details of the chambers, Wilberforce identified their record of innovation as a key attribute in defining their core offer. We then began to develop creative solutions to express the message which could also extend the characteristics theme and strengthen the overall campaign.

SHO have recently designed the latest installment in Wilberforce Chambers’ distinctive characteristics advertising campaign, focussing on the strength of their expertise.

In contrast to the traditional route of simply listing the details of the chambers like many competitors, Wilberforce wanted to communicate the level of expertise within their chambers (due to the number of highly experienced barristers they have) as the key message. SHO then developed different creative executions to illustrate the message and compliment the whole campaign.

Leading London barristers chambers, Wilberforce Chambers asked SHO to design their new publication ‘Hot Topics in Property Law – A Surveyors Guide’. Written by some of their senior members and dealing with specialist aspects of property law, Wilberforce were very keen to ensure the book remain easily identifiable as their publication as it’s sure to be adopted as a standard text on the subject. As with most documents dealing with complex information, legal or otherwise, we knew it would be essential to design a clean and clear graphic information hierarchy to ensure readers could easily navigate the document and access the elements they need.

In 2008 Wilberforce Chambers held their first Professional Liability seminar to discuss the issues in this area of law and to demonstrate the key skills and expertise of their barristers. SHO were asked to design the promotional and marketing material for the event as well as the online booking area.

As the essence of what Wilberforce provide is clear and precise legal advice we wanted to design something that could communicate the intricacies of the subject in a very clean but eye-catching way. The simplicity of the knot concept and the way it was integrated into the graphic style of the Wilberforce identity meant that the final solution was subtle but also very memeorable.

When Wilberforce Chambers wanted to host a summer party for clients they asked SHO to design the invitation for the event. We knew the budget needed a very cost effective format, but also believed it was an opportunity to do something original and distinctive.

After discussions with print professionals over some initial ideas, a 6pp square format proved to be the most efficient solution. With no wasted paper and a finished size that fits a standard envelope it provided the most value for our client, and the square format is a pleasant and unique difference.

Wilberforce Chambers are one of London’s leading barristers’ chambers and long established in Lincoln’s Inn. When they approached SHO initially they were looking to refresh their entire identity and to update all their corporate and promotional literature. Working through a structured rebrand we designed a complete set of new literature, in a style that’s modern and yet retains the established excellence of the chambers. Our relationship is ongoing and we continue to design communication and marketing projects for Wilberforce.

SHO were asked by London barristers Wilberforce Chambers, to design individual practice area booklets covering all the sectors of the law they specialise in. Written by members of chambers each booklet gives prospective clients a clear introduction to Wilberforce and their work in the sector.

We designed a flexible template for the different content of each sector which can also be easily extended to accommodate any new areas that are addressed in future. Viewed as a set the booklets give a full and complete overview of Wilberforce Chambers.
